Daily journal May 2, 2000, Rock concert darkened at the arena by lightning.

The Bilo Center arena is unable to make its bond payment even with rock-and-roll.

A major rock group performed tonight at the Greenville Bilo Center arena with its 17,000 seats, 7000 filled with hungry souls while a major devastating electrical storm hit town and knocked out power for 1.15 minutes. This police special baby, the new Bilo Center is for a grip the city was about to evacuate the center when power was restored. For the first fifteen minutes the audience though this was apart of the act because the mikes were all dead and they could not spread the word. I had gone with my friend to Laurens County to see a site on Lake Rabon near downtown rebel Laurens and we were followed by thunderstorms as we hunted for the lake place. Leaving doors and windows open on my return to a cleanup in progress, the water that had blown in. Fires were being fought all around town from this electrical storm and our television was destroyed, but thank the Lord there was no fire.

Fill me Lord with the true Holy Spirit and may I think on thee all the daylong.

From daybreak until midnight at full speed it is hard to get it all in and cover every area of life and health with a recognition of God and time to think and pray. I am reminded today of the parable Christ gave in the New Testament Gospels of the rich man and Lazarus. Lazarus the beggar died and his soul went to heaven. The rich man also died and his soul went to hell. In hell the rich man lifted up his eyes and saw Lazarus in heaven and asked that he be given just a drop of water to cool his burning tongue. It was too late for help to even warn his friends, neighbors and relatives not to come to that place of eternal suffering. Let us live today a total Christian life single-minded and focused upon the creator, Lord God almighty.

During the trip I read a booklet in my friends vehicle from the 700 clubs of 28 cures for illnesses and one was peripheral neuropathy that has been known to be greatly improved or cured by gamma linolenia acid. To fight the battles daily to stay alive and to stay away from the kings table of sugar foods takes a major effort. As I join the line of hungry souls at the local cafeteria, I feel like one of them, I even feel like one of those animals in line for slaughter and be put all in the same line. To see the people laying in the roast beef and fried chicken with the hydrogenated oils all over the place knowing that in a short time they will be cut on like the animals to replace the heart are other organs damaged by the synthetics consumed in the profit picture of preparation. I feel that I am in the slaughter line and must get out with my life. The results are the same for human beings as for animals; it just takes longer to die eating this way than for animals in a slaughterhouse. This reminds me of a painting I did of a man who died and was pictured lying in his casket with his wife all bent over with walking cane mourning his passing. The bleeding animals were pictured lying along the lower part of the painting and the painting is entitled, the ultimate revenge. With the information we have available to us today we should all know the dangers of available foods that are made for profit and not for health. Let us serve God and not die before our time.
